Royce buys C.H. Patrick's Vat Dye Business

Passaic Color and Chemical, division of Royce Associates has acquired C.H. Patrick & Co.'s Vat dye business for an undisclosed sum. This acquisition further strengthens Passaic's presence in the market, and offers Patrick's customers continued access to world-class service and products.

Over the next 30 days Passaic Color and C.H. Patrick will work to provide C.H. Patrick's Vat dye customers a seamless transition to Passaic's Royce Vat product line.

A.J. Royce IV, President of Royce Associates, parent company of Passaic commented, "Royce is committed to continuing to offer the U.S. textile industry the highest quality Vat dye products, along with unrivaled technical service. This investment reinforces that fact."

Tom Reardon, President & CEO of C.H. Patrick commented, "This transaction not only makes sense for Patrick and Royce, but also our customers. With the continued consolidation of this market, it is growing increasingly important to maintain scale. Passaic is the largest supplier of Vat dyes in the U.S. market, and therefore is best positioned to service our customers."

Passaic Color and Chemical is a division of Royce Associates. Founded in 1929, Royce has grown from one plant site in New Jersey to five plants in the U.S.; warehouses across U.S., Europe and Asia; Technical Center and office in China and manufacturing partnerships around the globe.

C.H. Patrick manufactures several lines of dyes and chemicals for the Textile, Paper and Agricultural markets. C.H. Patrick operates plant, laboratory and office facilities at South Carolina Technology and Aviation Center in Greenville, SC.
