UK Government advisers from key departments will be available in several free events across the country over the next five weeks to take questions from businesses and offer advice on a range of areas where they may need to make changes to get ready for Brexit ahead of 31 October. The events will combine a keynote address, advice stands and in-depth sessions.

The departments include the department for business, energy and industrial strategy, the home office, the department for international trade, the department for environment, food and rural affairs and the department for digital, culture, media and sport, according to an official release.
Business secretary Andrea Leadsom said UK businesses have told the government they want more face-to-face support.
An additional £2.1 billion for Brexit preparations has doubled funding for this year’s total treasury funding for Brexit to £6.3 billion. This includes £108 million to support businesses to get ready.
A new Business Finance Council has been set up to ensure small businesses get the working capital and investment they need. This is made up of senior representatives from the UK’s leading banks and alternative lenders, co-chaired by the business secretary and Her Majesty’s Treasury. (DS)
