VDMA forum discusses material efficiency in textiles
The B2B forum and conference by VDMA, Germany's mechanical engineering industry association, discussed the scope to enhance competitiveness by increasing production efficiency and quality of the textile products. More than 380 decision makers from the Indian textile and nonwoven industry attended the conference that concluded on May 16 in Mumbai.

Focusing on the theme 'German Technology meets Indian Textiles and Nonwovens Industry',  experts from around 30 VDMA member companies presented practice-oriented technology topics along the entire textile chain from spinning to finishing and dyeing in two parallel sessions.

The two-day event also covered various important aspects of the textile industry including life cycle costs, industrial internet (Industry 4.0), state-of-the-art technologies for textile calendaring and latest technique and technology for the production of needle felted nonwovens and their applications among others.
