The Dong Nam Textile JSC, a subsidiary of the Vietnam National Textile and Garment Group (Vinatex), recently started construction of the first yarn factory in the south-western region in Bac Lieu province. Located at the Tra Kha Industrial Park in Bac Lieu city, the factory has a total investment of over $21.56 million and is expected to be completed within two years.

The annual production capacity will be raised to 4,500 tonnes in the second phase.
The factory is expected to earn 525 billion VND in revenue each year and create 500 jobs.
Vinatex chairman Tran Quang Nghi said the factory will be equipped with modern equipment from Europe, Japan and India. (DS)
