Sharing details about the response at the India Show, Mr. Dhirendra Kumar, Managing Director, Jharcraft, told fibre2fashion, “Although the event was mainly for engineering and allied sector, the displays by Jharcraft were a huge attraction for visitors.”

“There were queries by one Blue House corporation for placing bulk orders for hand embroidered organic silk stoles and by 3K Corporation for neck ties and stoles. Jharcraft also attracted attention from Tea Corporation of India for corporate gifts and received a query from Tomidokoro Buff (TBC) for Jute fibres for brushing metal parts of machines,” he informs.

Summing up the response and potential market in Japan for Jharcraft items, he says, “Products of Jharcraft were highly appreciated by the visitors and the business class. There is a great market for light weight, soft, and fine woven silk, cotton and linen fabrics in the Japanese market.”

“Translucently woven fabrics would also attract huge demand. Among garment items, there is demand in the Japanese market for stoles, tops and skirts, as well as shorts for men and women in light shades,” he adds.
