These programs are designed to test and certify the competence of the participants to conduct certain AATCC test methods and evaluation procedures.
The certification program is divided into three modules, with each module covering a different set of AATCC test methods. The first and second modules covering the test methods and evaluation procedures listed below will be conducted from April 20-22, 2006, at SGS India Pvt. Ltd. Lab in Gurgoan (near New Delhi): • Evaluation Procedure 1 Gray Scale for Color Change • Evaluation Procedure 2 Gray Scale for Staining • Evaluation Procedure 8 AATCC 9-Step Chromatic Transference Scale • Test Method 8 Colorfastness to Crocking: AATCC Crockmeter Method • Test Method 61 Colorfastness to Laundering, Home and Commercial: Accelerated
Training on each module is divided into three parts: • Part 1 covers the background of the method and instruction on performing the method correctly, with each participant performing the test. • Part 2 includes in-house testing. Each module will have an associated written test that will cover the important points of the method, and a practical test will be included. • Part 3 is the take-home test. Each module will have a test protocol that the participant will complete in their lab and return for a grade.
