A special attraction of the show was the Handloom Denim by DCI booth, which showcased an exclusive collection of Nehru Jackets and other formal dresses made out of Khadi Denim.

The striking attraction of the event was the denim jeans production line, wherein the visitors got the unique opportunity to see jeans being manufactured on state-of-the-art machines during the exhibition.

The production line, a far sighted initiative by Denim Club India, exemplified the strength and benefits of collaboration, with various companies coming together and joining hands to provide the inputs and material required for making a wearable pair of jeans. This was the first time that a fully operational state-of-the-art jeans production line was set-up in a business expo. The initiative made it possible for a multitude of denim professionals and business owners to take a close look at an automated production line, and get precise inputs from the technology providers on how to go ahead with automation in manufacturing denim jeans.

The production line was made possible by coming together of several companies, viz. Vinod Denim, Oswal Denims, R&B Denims, and Sangam Denim for fabric, Preet Buttons for buttons and rivets, Chaudhary Labels for labels and tags, Groz Beckert for sewing needles, Tukatech for CAD patterns and fabric cutting, and VI.BE.MAC and Turel Group for the sewing machines.

The exclusive denim B2B expo was visited by representatives of around 300 companies, including business owners and senior decision makers. Mr. Vijay Mathur, the Acting Secretary General, Apparel Export Promotion Council, made a special visit to InDIGO and went around the exhibition. He lauded the initiative by Denim Club India and was of the view that the AEPC Members Exporters could benefit substantially by visiting the subsequent editions of InDIGO.

Mr. R. Dudeja, Founder, Denim Club India opines “We have achieved the goals set for this edition. The positive feedback from exhibitors and visitors alike shows that we made the right decision by concentrating on what is important for the professionals engaged in various segments of the denim value chain. We are thankful to all our exhibitors and speakers as the support and co-operation extended by them played a key role in the success of the event. We are confident that with the continued support and patronization from the industry leaders, InDIGO will continue to grow, and become more beneficial, over the years.”

He further explained InDIGO is the only denim platform in the world which enables denim related businesses to think beyond “buyer seller” or “order booking” meets, and makes it possible for the future industry leaders to come together under one roof, and develop their vision of future of denim industry together.
