Japan's man-made fibre production dips 1.1% in April'13

The production of man-made fibres by Japan declined by 1.1 percent year-on-year to 82,854 tons in April 2013, according to the data released by the Japan Chemical Fibers Association. 
 
Among man-made fibres, the production of synthetic fibre decreased by 0.6 percent year-on-year to 69,623 tons, during the month.
 
The production of polyester filament fell 6.4 percent year-on-year to 13,860 tons, while polyester staple fibre output dropped 0.5 percent y-o-y to 11,781 tons.
 
Acrylic staple fibre output rose marginally by 0.03 percent y-o-y to 12,629 tons during the month under review, whereas the production of nylon filament declined 3.8 percent y-o-y to 8,024 tons.
