Capital and Development Authority (CDA)is planning to build arts and crafts village at Margalla Hills in Islamabad and the project work will commence from May 1, 2006.
According to Sanaullah Zaman, Special Projects Director, project's costing Rs 120 million will bring to fore Pakistan's cultural heritage.
For successful implementation of the project, CDA has appointed well-known consultant Naeem Pasha and acquired 25 acres of land.
Artisic input will be provided by the Indus Heritage, an NGO that will feature a village with huts accomodating 40-50 craftsman and around 10 stalls offering mouth watering cuisines.
