Stop Kurt Geiger selling fur!

Shoe retailer, Kurt Geiger, have been selling 'Mukluk' boots made entirely from skinned rabbits in its many outlets throughout the UK.
They say they have taken the fur off the shelves but are unwilling to give a statement pledging not to sell real fur again; for this reason, the campaign continues against Kurt Geiger.
The fact that they are unwilling to provide a written assurance they will not sell fur again speaks volumes that, in fact, they will do this in the future!
The anti-fur movement learned that if we do not see a campaign through to the end (i.e. getting a fur free policy) then companies will continue to sell real fur year after year; the campaign must then be restarted each year - this is confusing for people wishing to boycott companies that sell fur.
It is therefore imperative that the campaign continues to encourage Kurt Geiger to issue a fur free policy. Please see the 'take action' section below to take part in the weekend of action against Kurt Geiger.
The company has tried to justify this inexcusable behaviour by perpetuating the myth that the fur comes from rabbits bred for the meat industry and as such are a waste product.
This is an outright lie, instigated by the fur trade to try and boost flagging fur sales. The fur from rabbits bred for the meat industry is not deemed good enough to use for clothing and footwear products as the rabbits are killed at around 12 weeks of age.
At this age,the rabbits' coat is not thick enough and rabbits bred for fur are killed at the very least at 8 months of age, when they have shed their first winter coat.
