Turnover Volume Index of Retail Trade goes up in May & June

The Turnover Volume Index of Retail Trade for May 2007 increased by 7.1 units or 5.6% to 133.2 units compared to 126.1 in April 2007.
For the period January-May 2007 the Index recorded an increase of 6.2% compared to the corresponding period of 2006.
According to provisional estimates the Turnover Volume Index of Retail Trade for June 2007 increased by 8.7 units or 6.5% to 141.9 units compared to 133.2 in May 2007.
For the period January-June 2007 the Index is provisionally estimated to have an increase of 6.9% compared to the corresponding period of 2006.
