Review of working of KVIC in Bihar

The performance of various schemes/programmes for promoting and developing khadi and village industries (KVI) sector, being implemented by Khadi and Village Industries Commission (KVIC) throughout the country, including Bihar, is regularly monitored and reviewed by the Government from time to time.
A State-level review of the KVI programme was conducted by KVIC on 10th and 11th April, 2007 at Patna, where various programme implementing agencies were called.
5 Bankers review meetings were conducted in Bihar during 2006-07 to take stock of the progress in the implementation of Rural Employment Generation Programme (REGP).
This was stated by the Minister for Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises, Shri Mahabir Prasad in a written reply to a question in Rajya Sabha.
