From the 23rd to the 26th of September 2008, Swiss textile companies will present their products at Première Vision, the international fashion fair, and at the Expofil yarn trade fair in Paris.
The product spectrum for the 2009/2010 autumn/winter collections is impressively diverse: Ultra-fine yarns, cotton fabrics with eco-friendly production methods, elegant silk dreams, weaves with floral patterns through to voluminous fabrics with shimmer and lacquer effects.
As diverse as the presented products are – the demand for only the best quality runs through every yarn and fabric presentation akin to a red thread.
Whether natural fibres of 100%-certified organic origin, whether high-tech weaves, or sophisticated fabrics for luxury fashion each and every one is distinguished by customary high Swiss quality.
Nine of the Swiss textile companies that will be participating in the trade fair offer "swiss+cotton" products in their product segment.
This yarn, which is made from extra-long staple cotton, is of the best quality and exhibits first-class processing characteristics.
From the raw material, to yarn production and the actual woven fabric: the "swiss+cotton" quality label complies with strictly-monitored social, environmental and technology standards. Across all of the production processes, two thirds of the value addition takes place in Switzerland.
In addition to this label, the member companies of the Swiss Textile Federation will be presenting – especially also for their visual properties imaginative fabrics, fine embroideries and sequin creations for prêt-à-porter collections.
