CIRFS: European Man-made Fibres Association – the Brussels-based representative body for Europe's €13 billion man-made fibres industry – has now put on line its redesigned, updated and extended website.
The main changes compared with the previous website are:
• A more modern design
• Greater ease of navigation from one section to another
• Updated information on the different types of man-made fibres, industry data and the CIRFS organisation
• A new section setting out in detail the contribution of man-made fibres to environmental sustainability
• A modern and user-friendly document management system acting as the main means of providing information to member companies.
CIRFS Director General Frédéric Van Houte says:
“The European man-made fibres industry is modern, dynamic and go-ahead. It is the world's second largest man-made fibres producer, and a leader in quality, innovation and environmental responsibility.
“The new CIRFS website gives a great deal of information about man-made fibres uses and production processes, and about the product range of CIRFS member companies. It also includes a completely new section giving information about the steps being taken in the European industry to contribute to environmental sustainability. This includes emission reductions and use of man-made fibres to develop new products with a lighter environmental load and which help the fight against the impact of climate change.
“I hope that the new website will be widely used – by the man-made fibres industry itself, by customers in the textile and other industrial sectors, and by the population at large.”
