Jharkhand weavers to benefit from new MoU

Jharkhand's Jharcraft and Solapur Zilla Ahilyadevi Khadi GramUdyog Ghongadi Utpadak Sahakari Sansthan Ltd. of Maharashtra known for blanket weaving have recently inked a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for the benefit of weavers of Jharkhand.
The two organizations had inked the MoU during a function held at Hotel Green Horizon in Jharkhand.
The MoU mainly focuses on helping the blanket weavers of Jharkhand, whereby both the institutions have agreed to jointly market these blankets produced by the weavers in Jharkhand, and would also partake in the expositions and trade fairs for promotion of the same.
The move is believed to prove beneficial for around 10,000 weavers of Jharkhand as Solapur Khadi Gramudyog Sansthan holds an expertise in promotion and marketing of weaving items.
