Shri Mukund Choudhary becomes President of NITMA

The Executive Committee of the Northern India Textile Mill's Association (NITMA) at its meeting held on 1ST April, 2011, at New Delhi unanimously elected Shri Mukund Choudhary, Managing Director of Spentex Industries Ltd. as President, for two years. Shri Choudhary succeeds Shri Ashish Bagrodia, Managing Director of Winsome Textile Industries Ltd., Chandigarh.

Shri Mukund Choudhary has started his professional career very early with a vision of foraying into textile manufacturing. Spentex Industries today has 5 factories in India, two in Uzbekistan and one in the Chezh Republic with over 5 lac spindles and 200 looms with a world wide turnover of Rs 1300 crores and 12000 employees in position in the offices and plants worldwide.

Under his leadership, Spentex Group has won number of prestigious awards for its remarkable performance in export sales from the prestigious organizations like TEXPROCIL, SRTEPC, NITMA, Ministry of Power- Government of India as also from the Department of Light Industry, Govt. of Tashkent.

Shri Choudhary has been representing in various Trade and Government bodies in various capacities.

• Member of the committee of administration of The Cotton Textiles Export Promotion Council from 2010-2011.
• Chairman of The sub committee of raw material in Confederation of Indian Textile Industry from 2010 to 2011.
• Sr. Vice President of Northern India Textile Mills Association from 2009-2011.
• Chairman of The Price Monitoring Committee of The Northern India Textile Mills from 2009-2011.
• Vice President of the Northern India Textile Mills Association From 2007-2009.
• Chairman of Ethiopian Business Forum, Phd Chamber Of Commerce 2011-2012
• Chairman of Young Business Leaders Forum, Phd Chamber 2011-2012
• Member of Executive Committee of Phd Chamber 2011-2012
• Member of the Cotton Yarn Advisory Board Of the G.O.I.
• Member of the Cotton Advisory Board of the G.O.I.
• Honorary Arbitrator of the Delhi Hindustani Mercantile Association from 1997-2001.
• An Active Member of the Young Presidents Organisation

In addition to the above Shri Choudhary was nominated to the final panel for the Young Entreprunners Award in 2006 by Ernest and young.
