KVIC turns to private sector for marketing products

25 Apr '11
1 min read

The Khadi Village Industries Commission (KVIC) has invited private sector entrepreneurs to market and sell khadi and village industry products.

The marketing organisation will be set up on a public-private partnership (PPP) basis. KVIC is expecting to create a demand from domestic and global markets by means of the marketing outfit.

KVIC was set up in 1959 to help development of khadi goods and village industries. It also has a string of retail stores under the name of Khadi Gram Udyog.

KVIC has invited expressions of interest from corporate, partnership firm or even an individual entrepreneur to partner the marketing organisation.
