Rajasthan Spinning & Weaving Mills (RSWM) Limited, the flagship company of LNJ Bhilwara Group, plans to enhance its production capacities with an investment of Rs. 15 billion.
The Bhilwara-based textiles firm is also planning to set up a denim production plant in its bid to become a US$ 1 billion company by 2016.
Most of the Rs. 15 billion investment will be utilized in increasing the production capacity of yarn. The company plans to increase its spindle capacity to 700,000 by adding new sophisticated spinning machinery. It will also enable the company to retain its position as the country's second biggest spinning company.
RSWM is one of the largest producers and exporters of polyester viscose blended yarn in the country. It has a 35 percent share in the polyester yarn segment, and enjoys a leading position in yarn exports, which includes special high-value yarns.
