Vêt' Affaires has sales turnover of €108.81m in 2005

French budget clothing chain Vêt' Affaires has posted a drop in sales turnover of 5.6 percent to €108.81 million, marked by a strong deceleration of the sales turnover on comparable surface for 2005.
With comparable perimeter or like-for-like sales, the sales dropped by 21 percent over the year.
The first actions decided following the audit carried out during summer 2005 were installation. A destocking of €1.7 million was carried out at the end of the year in order to reduce the BFR. The other actions, in progress, should make feel their effect in the second part of first half of the year.
In 2005, the company continued its development by opening 14 stores in the towns of Pontault, Mirabeau, Forbach, Saint Parre, Lempdes, Lons, Beauvais, Quimper, Epinal, Garges, Saint Jean de Vedas, Mérignac, Saint Etienne and Mureaux.
Vet' Affaires is a chain of distribution of "basic" clothing of quality at discount price, founded in 1987 by Patrice and Rémy Lesguer.
Presently, the chain counts for 75 specialized stores located in periphery of the cities of more than 40.000 inhabitants. Of an average surface of 900 m², these stores propose a significant choice as regards clothing of first need at very advantageous prices.
