K Williams as Non-Executive Director of Queensland Cotton

Cotton marketing and trading company Queensland Cotton Holdings Limited (Queensland Cotton) announced that it has appointed Ken Williams as a Non-Executive Director to fill a casual vacancy.
Queensland Cotton Chairman John Reynolds said Mr Williams brings to Queensland Cotton a wealth of expertise in financial and commodity price risk management. Mr Williams also has Broad experience in working with boards at a diverse range of public companies.
Mr Williams was part of the team which created a world class treasury risk management function at Qantas. Subsequently, as Treasurer of Normandy Mining, Mr Williams significantly strengthened Normandy's capability in managing one of the world's largest gold hedge books and went on to become Normandy's Chief Financial Officer.
His deep knowledge and strong track record in international financial markets will enhance Queensland Cotton's financial discipline as the company continues to expand both in Australia and overseas.
“Ken will significantly strengthen the Board's financial risk focus as we continue to pursue our strategic objective to position Queensland Cotton as the preferred supplier of premium grade cotton to world textile markets,” said Mr Reynolds.
“We are very pleased to have Ken join the Board as well as our Audit Committee, and I am sure he will make a major contribution in helping us achieve excellence in financial risk management.”
Queensland Cotton has made changes to simplify our grower account documents. The accounts will adopt new formats that will be similar to other accounts you might receive.
