Ginni Filaments plans Rs200 cr expansion thru equity route

Ginni Filaments Ltd (GFL) expects to mop Rs48 crore from equity shares.
GFL plans to expand the spinning unit from 960 to 1680 rotors, while adding 16800 spindles at the ring-spinning unit.
Company is to set up Greenfield non-woven fabric unit with a production capacity of 12000 tons per annum, in Gujarat.
Its garment-manufacturing project is expected to have the production capacity of 52.50 lakh garments per annum.
During 2004-2005, it achieved a turnover of Rs185 crore and its net profit fell to Rs3.91 crore from Rs8.81 crore.
Ginni Filaments, a 100 percent export oriented unit,produces ultra fine combed cotton yarn, open- end yarn in the count range of 6 to 20 and knit fabrics that includes single jersey, interlock, rib, terry and lycra fabrics.
