Silkbody's breakthrough in fabric technology for Winter 2006
Silkbody - fabric technology - Winter 2006
The Dunedin-based Silkbody presents a breakthrough in fabric technology for Winter 2006.
SilkSideIn is the latest concept in the Silkbody family of innovative fabrics, to be released this winter. This brand new range of knitwear is 50% silk, 50% wool. Silk is knitted on the inside of the fabric, next to the skin, with wool on the outside. The result is the ultimate in winter luxury, with no itch. It's perfect for sensitive skins.
SilkSideIn is designed to optimise the complimentary qualities of silk and wool for superior comfort and performance.
"It's a world first, as far as we know!" says designer and Director Emily Cooper.
SilkSideIn comes in a crew neck jumper, polo and cardigan in colours of berry, tundra and black.
This season Silkbody also introduces new styles in their Silkspun first-layer fabric: lounge pants, shirt, scarf and a hood, in rich winter shades of grass and plum.
Silkbody is available at fashion, outdoor and department stores throughout New Zealand and Australia.
