Resumption of Juapong Textiles Limited (JTL) seems difficult as the company is running into technical and other difficulties and some manufacturing equipments are also missing.
Government has assured that JTL would resume its production once these issues are sorted out.
Minister of Trade and Industry, Kyerematen informed that JTL would start operations this month with high quality production of grey baft for the local textile industry and that three companies - Tex Stlyes (Ghana) Limited, Ghana Textile Products and Akosombo Textiles — had all agreed to purchase grey baft from a rejuvenated JTL.
VLISCO BV, which held 62.5 percent share in the company, left JTL citing financial and operational difficulties.
Company has submitted the audit report to the ministry, after studying the report, and a strategy will be announced to repoen the factory.
