Linens 'N Things appoints Robert as new SVP, Marketing

Brand name home furnishings merchandiser Linens 'n Things Inc announced the appointment of Robert HomIer to the position of Senior Vice President(SVP) of Marketing, reporting directly to Robert J. DiNicola, Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer, effective on April 17, 2006.
HomIer is a veteran of over 35 years in the retail industry, having served in senior level merchandising and marketing positions for several leading national retailers.
HomIer has most recently served as Executive Vice President of ONC Corporation since February 2005. The controlling stockholders of both ONC and Linens 'n Things are affiliates of Apollo Management, L.P. Before his position with ONC, Mr. HomIer served as President: Merchandising and Marketing for Levitz Furniture. Prior to that, he spent almost 15 years in senior management positions with R.H. Macy and Federated Department stores.
"Bob's many years of experience in the areas of merchandising and marketing make him uniquely qualified for this position," said DiNicola, who is also the Executive Chairman of the Board ofONC. Linens 'n Things, with 2005 sales of $2.7 billion is one of the leading, national large format retailers of home textiles, housewares and home accessories. As of December 31, 2005, the Company operated 542 stores in 47 states and six provinces across the United States and Canada.
The business strategy is to offer a broad selection of high quality, brand name home furnishings merchandise at exceptional everyday values, provide superior guest service, and maintain low operating costs.
