Teijin to partake in Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics

Nantong Teijin, the textile manufacturing and sales company owned by technology-driven global group Teijin, will partake in the forthcoming 21st edition of Chinese international trade fair Intertextile Shanghai Apparel Fabrics.

The firm will exhibit high-performance fabrics and environment-friendly solutions for sports, casual, fashion and uniform categories at the event, taking place from March 18 to 20, 2015, at National Exhibition and Convention Center (Shanghai).

The company will showcase two varieties of the functional microfibre made fabric with high moisture permeable and water-repellent properties called Microft. The soft textured laminated version can withstand water pressure of up to 10,000 mm or greater and the ultra-thin and extremely lightweight variety is used by several outdoor clothing brands.

Among the eco-friendly solutions, the firm will display chemically recycled and recyclable materials marketed in collaboration with Zhejiang Jiaren New Material Co., another Teijin group owned company engaged in the chemical recycling of polyester.

Also the extra-soft, stretchable, shape-retaining and durable polytrimethylene terephthalate fibre Solotex will be featured at the China-based company’s booth, which would be set up at the fair’s Hall 8, 2nd floor, Stand B11. The partially bio-derived Solotex helps to conserve fossil resources.

Teijin offers advanced solutions in areas related to sustainable transportation, information and electronics, safety and protection, environment and energy, and healthcare. The group’s product range includes high-performance fibres such as aramid, carbon fibres and composites, films, resin and plastic processing, and polyester fibres. (PB)
