Titan Chemicals to establish PTCs to expand in the Chinese market

Titan Chemicals Corp Bhd announced to established plastic technical centres (PTCs) in China to expand its market in China.
The Chinese market currently accounts 27 percent of its total exports.
Currently, the Pasir Gudang-based Titan Chemicals manufactures ethylene, propylene, polyolefins, company markets both the to local and Asian markets.
Company's yearly output of ethylene, propylene, olefin, olyethylene and polypropylene stands at 2.1 million tons.
Titan Petchem (M) Sdn Bhd Vice President (polymers trade) Diau Jia Yih explained that the Chinese market is too gigantic market too that can't be neglected, though its is Titan's major importer.
By setting up PTCs in China to provide service centres, it will be able to fulfill demands of the Chinese such as product development, troubleshooting and training.
Setting up PTC is Malaysia's largest technical centre for the polyolefins industry in 2001, located at Titan Chemicals' Tanjung Langsat site.
It presently provides troubleshooting services and crucial technical training to more than 3,000 industrial customers.
