Kornit Digital’s booth at FESPA in Cologne showcased and demonstrated the Kornit Allegro roll to roll industrial textile printing system.

“Allegro demonstrated its unparalleled flexibility as the only stand-alone, one step, no-pretreatment, digital printing solution and which supports fashion, active and home-décor fabrics,” Kornit said in a press release.

According to Kornit, the Allegro is based on Kornit’s NeoPigment printing technology that completely eliminates pre- and post-treatment processes for both natural and synthetic fabrics.

“Unlike typical digital technologies, the Kornit Allegro offers an innovative, enabling solution, saving on energy, water, space, and labor time,” it added.

The Allegro eliminates the entry barrier to the digital fabric printing market which is currently addressable only by manufacturers with industrial grade printing facilities.

“Through its simple operation the Allegro enables the development of new business models which cater for the strong trends of mass customisation and personalisation of textile in fashion and home décor,” Kornit explained.

Kornit further added by saying that the Allegro can be installed located anywhere without environmental constraints and is designed to support ultra-short up to medium-length runs.

Allegro offers amazing print quality, a vivid and wide color gamut, excellent colour fastness and hand feel, a fully sustainable and safe process, and is Oeko-Tex 100 certified and GOTS pre-approved.

The print engine, which enables speeds of up to 100 linear meters per hour, features a new generation of print-heads with an advanced re-circulating ink system and new algorithms.

The Allegro also features an advanced adhesive belt conveyor system and an axial unwinding system that incorporates adjustable fabric width and tension mechanisms for faultless output of materials.

The printed fabrics are UV-resistant, with excellent wash fastness and an attractive hand feel, which makes it ideal for brands, retailers and decorators in the fashion and home textile industries,” it observed.

“Leveraging our leadership position and our great success in the direct-to-garment market, we are excited to expand our product offering to the roll-to-roll market,” Guy Zimmerman, VP (Marketing) said.

“The high-speed, standalone, Kornit Allegro opens up endless possibilities for shorter lead times, cost cutting, faster stock movements and reduced inventories,” he too added by saying. (AR)
