Grasim team wins First Runner up award at WED Quiz

A team from various divisions of Grasim Industries won the First Runner up award at the 4th edition of the Environment Quiz organised by the Confederation of the Indian Industry (CII) in Vadodara on the occasion of the World Environment Day (WED).

Grasim team comprised employees from Grasim Cellulosic Division, Vilayat; Birla Cellulosic, Kharach; and Marketing & Business Development Division, Vadodara.

Participating for the first time in the event, Grasim team competed with teams from ten leading corporate from various industries like L&T, Siemens, Coca Cola, Express Hotels, Elkon, Raychem RPG, and Schott Glass among others.

The quiz was on the WED theme of UNEP, which is “Seven Billion Dreams. One Planet. Consume with Care.”

In organizing the WED quiz competition, the first of its kind in Gujarat, CII endeavours to bring corporate houses, policy makers, government, students and public at large on a common platform to compete, discuss and leverage on the issues of environmental importance.

On behalf of Grasim, Ajay Sardana, CK Dutta, Bharat Patel, Prasanna Tilak, Paras Jain, Pramod Kumar, Nirav Patel, Harsh, and Gaurav attended the event and received the award. (RKS)
