AITUC slams STL's unjust policies

AITUC reproved anti-worker policies of Sholingur Textile Ltd (STL) by staging a protest and observing one-day fast in front of the Collectorate, Vellore, Tamil Nadu.
Members of AITUC shouted slogans against the company, which has forced employees to take up voluntary retirement scheme (VRS).
Headed by Virudhai Gandhi, District Secretary, AITUC, the protest rally was also attended by D M Murthy, Assistant General Secretary, TNAITUC, and R Mullaiventhan, District Secretary, CPI, along with other members of AITUC.
Sholingur Textiles Limited was promoted in 1967 and has an excellent track record that spans over three decades of growth and recognition.
The Company Manufactures 100 percent cotton yarn and blended yarn for the export and domestic markets.
The Company's yarn is accepted for its superior quality and is exported to important textile centres worldwide.
