Tasmanian wool warms up Japanese interests

A visit to Tasmania by leading Japanese retailers is planned for later this year. It is expected that Japanese media will continue to be interested in Tasmania's natural environment and the farmers' stories.
Hutchinson said Tasmania was well-placed to support niche marketing opportunities in Japan where specialized orders for wool could be sourced from individual properties or locations where wool-types were most consistent.
Roberts has extensive interests in wool agency and export, livestock agency and export, rural supplies and farm machinery, stock feed manufacture,seed & grain production & cleaning, rural finance & insurance, real estate agency and property management.
Initially Roberts business activities were exclusively within Tasmania, however Roberts now has business interests in Victoria, South Australia and Western Australia.
