MIL to establish fabric unit

Overseas seller of home textiles, Minar International Limited (MIL), is to launch a fabric processing unit at Sipcot Industrial Centre in Perundurai near Erode.

Chairman and Managing Director U K Nambiar informed that by May 2007 the Rs73.31 crore processing unit will be established and will have modern processing machines imported from Europe.

He added that the unit will have zero discharge sewage treatment facility. Recycling of 70 percent of water necessity will prevent wastage of water and capital.

MIL is serving exports market by contracting processed fabrics and it reprocesses them in its two cutting, machining and trimming (CMT) units in Thane.

Nambiar further informed that MIL will have complete self-sufficiency through establishment of the unit, expenses of which will be met through money accrued by IPO.
