Macnaughton Group is a leading Scottish textile company flying out to LA shortly to take part in a celebrity studded fashion show.
Luxury brands including cashmere specialists Lochcarron of Scotland and the raincoat label Mackintosh are exhibiting at Dressed To Kilt that kicked off LA Fashion Week on October 14.
The move is part of a strategy to promote Scotland's leading textiles firms collectively.
The 223-year old Scots kilt maker company has won valuable contracts in the American catalogue market, while managing to achieve a value of $200 (£107) per yard for its classic plaids, tartans, paisleys and tweeds.
Company cautions that the rising tides of regulation and higher energy costs are placing the manufacturer at a competitive disadvantage overs its non-European competitors.
It is committed to invest in Scotland employing 100 across a weaving facility at Keith, Banffshire, and a sewing factory in Paisley with head office in Perth. The Paisley factory produces up to 5000 kilts annually.
Macnaughton export sales were up 40 percent in the first eight months of the current financial year.
