Gupta Synthetics to set up NTCF & NFY units at Silvassa

Gupta Synthetics Limited, a textile company at Surat, is investing Rs223 crores in a diversification project for production of nylon tyre cord fabric (NTCF) and nylon filament yarn (NFY), to be implemented at its Silvassa factory. NTCF and NFY are the main inputs for tyre, textile and furnishing industries.
Sales of the firm are anticipated to surpass Rs700 crores within 2009 post diversification.
NTCF and NFY facilities will each have annual installed capacity of 8,128 tons. NFY unit will commence from October next year, while NTCF unit will be functional from March 2008.
Gupta has textile and filament yarn making units at Ahmedabad, Silvassa and Surat. It is also involved in manmade textiles segment.
