WestPoint Home Inc announces that the purchase of Manama Textile Mills is complete and operations begin in Bahrain under the name of WestPoint Home as of December 21, 2006.

"WestPoint Home is continuing on a course of global expansion to better service the needs of our customers," said WestPoint Home Chief Executive Officer, Joe Pennacchio. "This acquisition will allow us to enhance our competitive position in the worldwide marketplace while still providing the same excellent quality and service we have been supplying for more than 125 years."

"The WestPoint Home operation in Bahrain is a fully vertical operation with state of the art equipment capable of producing a full range of bedding products," noted Chris Baker, Chief Operating Officer for WestPoint Home. "Our Bahrain operation represents an important step as we fully develop into a world class global supplier capable of competing with anyone in the world."

The operation will be managed by Robert R. "Bobby" Lanier. Bobby has been an employee of WestPoint Home since March of 1977 and recently served as Vice President responsible for all bedding production for WestPoint Home. Bobby will relocate to Bahrain and will be assisted by other key US personnel with the transition of this facility into our manufacturing network.

"This is a very exciting time for our company," said Joe Pennacchio, CEO. "The recent completion of our preferred stock offering provides added funds to support the Company and the development of our overseas manufacturing strategy. Our plant in Lahore, Pakistan is currently producing towels and we have a number of new product introductions planned for 2007."
