SP Apparels bags int'l certification for uniform colour assessment

SP Apparels Limited, a leading fabric to fashion textiles manufacturers in India, has received the distinction of being the only Indian company to get the accreditation under The Society of Dyers and Colourists (SDC) Colour Accreditation Scheme (CAS) for the company's instrumental assessment of colour relating to textile substrates.
"This demonstrates the company's ability to assess colour uniformly, consistently and accurately visually by following the guidelines of SDC CAS", said the accreditation certificate issued by the Society of Dyers and Colourists Bradford, England.
Mr P. Sundar Rajan, Managing Director of S.P. Apparels, said, "this accreditation shows the world that SP Apparels has invested in colour communication and that the systems in place for both visual and instrumental colour assessment follow the current best practices to the highest level". He added, "this also shows our sustained efforts to upgrade the machinery and operative levels to ensure world quality standards".
SP Apparels is the first Dyehouse in India and second in the world to get accredited under the SDC CAS scheme. The only other company in the world is Ocean Lanka from neighbouring Sri Lanka and both have complied with the strict and rigorous procedures demanded by the scheme. The scheme is aimed at providing colour consistency for the global textile supply chain.
The SDC's technical officer, Mr. Andrew Filarowski, said, "the scheme ensures that the specialist equipment used is suitable for the task in hand and is properly calibrated and maintained to the highest standards. He added,'' This also ensures consistent assessment and uniform colour communication throughout the world".
