We are delighted to announce that Gyrowash, Colour Fastness to Washing & Dry Cleaning Tester, has received the official approval of the American Association of Textile Chemists and Colourists (AATCC) for its inclusion in Test Method 61.
This test method is for the evaluation of the colour fastness to laundering of textiles, which are expected to withstand frequent laundering.
Heal's manual and motorised Crockmasters, 670 and 680, have also received the ultimate accolade of official approval for their inclusion in AATCC Test Method 8: Colourfastness to Crocking.
Test Method 8 was developed in 1936 and is designed to determine the amount of colour transferred from the surface of coloured textile materials to other surfaces by rubbing. It is applicable to textiles made from all fibres in the form of yarn or fabric whether dyed, printed or otherwise coloured.
Heal's Gyrowash and Cockmaster range will be on display on HEAL'S stand 145, Hall A4, at ITMA 2007 in Munich, Germany, between the 13th and 20th of September 2007.
