Even though, the spunlace non-woven fabrics can be produced at a very low cost and has a wide use, not many Chinese enterprises can venture into this sector as technology required to produce it is very high.
Few years back, the New Zhongtian Group located in XiaLv town, Zhejiang Province had set up a production line for spunlace non-woven fabrics together with Donghua University, which has a production capacity of 5000 tons annually.
The Government of XiaLv town put great emphasis on the development of spunlace non-woven fabrics. Presently, XiaLv town is importing the production lines for this fabric. It is estimated that XiaLv's output of spunlace non-woven fabrics will reach 39,000 ton by next year, making it the biggest production base in China.
However, presently, China needs about 1,50,000 tons of Spunlace non-woven fabrics each year in total, which is expected to reach 2,00,000 tons within next three years.
