Santex Group announces to have entered into a production restructuring program aimed at relocating its production facilities closer to its end markets.
The relocation is limited to manufacturing-related departments and will not impact on activities of Customer Service worldwide.
By doing this the group also expects a positive effect on realigning its cost structures.
The program will take several months to ensure proper transfer of know-how and smooth placement to new jobs for the dismissed personnel. It involves reduction of its facility in Malo, Italy to a Technology and Service Center.
Production is currently being shifted to other Santex group manufacturing sites which will be fully operative by December 2008.
The production of Sperotto Rimar's products, mainly for wool finishing and solvent scouring, - specifically Decofast, Fixa, Nova and Universa - will be relocated to the Santex facility in Tobel, Switzerland. This move guarantees a continued high level manufacturing of Santex Group's machines.
