Springs & Brazilian Co Coteminas form home textiles JV

Coteminas and Springs will each have 50 percent of the voting and total capital in Springs Global.
Certain segments of each company's existing businesses will remain in place and not join Springs Global. The merger, subject to customary approvals, is expected to be completed by year-end.
Brasilian textile group Coteminas is a vertically integrated leading manufacturer of home furnishings and knitted active apparel. The company has modern manufacturing facilities in four Brazilian states supplying yarn, fabric, bed and bath linens, bed ensembles, comforters, bath robes, towels, T-shirts, sport shirts, fleece and socks. Coteminas' major brands are Artex, Santista, Calfat, Garcia, Arco Iris and Attitude.
Fort Mill, South Carolina based bedding products supplier Springs Industries provides leading retailers with a complete line of coordinated home furnishings designed to simplify home decorating for every consumer. It also produces and markets bed and bath products for institutional and hospitality customers, home sewing fabrics, and baby bedding and apparel products.
