SmartSilver for Do No Harm scrubs line

Greenology USA LLC, maker of sustainable Do No Harm medical apparel, has selected NanoHorizons Inc.'s SmartSilver to provide the antimicrobial performance that is a primary feature of the new Do No Harm scrubs line.

In addition to SmartSilver's permanent, safe antimicrobial protection, the Do No Harm scrubs are made of recycled fibers that are tested and certified by Oeko-Tex to be free from harmful levels of more than 100 substances believed to be dangerous to human health.

“In order to live up to the Do No Harm ideal of scrubs that do no harm to the planet, to patients, or to the medical personnel themselves, we needed to select our antimicrobial additive with great care,” says Jim Noble, VP Sales and Marketing for Greenology. “SmartSilver met every performance and sustainability criteria we set. SmartSilver was the natural choice for Do No Harm scrubs.”

Doctors have been using silver's natural antimicrobial properties to control bacteria since the beginning of history. Silver is used today in hospitals around the world to treat and prevent infections in burn victims and newborns. Plus silver antimicrobials are used in hospital furniture and medical devices.
