A highlight of Dow's show presence will be the company's increasingly popular, innovative low and ultra low formaldehyde binder technology and APE-free surfactant choices. The need for low and ultra low residual formaldehyde levels in end products is becoming increasingly important in the textile and nonwoven industries. Since OEKOTEX 100 is the most broadly used industry-developed quality standard for such levels, Dow specifically developed new binders that help its customers meet the standard's requirements. “Our products help enable customers to pass tough regulations around the world without sacrificing excellent performance,” notes Pierre Blaix, Dow Global Commercial Director. “Together, we build tomorrow's nonwovens today.
