Premier speciality retailer Williams-Sonoma's fundraiser efforts

San Francisco based premier specialty retailer of home furnishing Williams-Sonoma Inc announces that this holiday season, will join forces with St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, the world's epicenter of childhood catastrophic disease research, as a partner in a signature fundraising initiative, Thanks and Giving.
The campaign, which encourages consumers across the country to give thanks for the kids in their lives who are healthy, and give to those who are not, is in its second year.
Williams-Sonoma Inc will participate by publicizing the campaign and, from Nov. 21 through Dec. 4, collecting donations. All seven of the WSI brands -- Williams-Sonoma, Pottery Barn, Pottery Barn Kids, PBteen, holdeverything, west elm and Williams-Sonoma Home -- will participate in the campaign.
The symbol of this year's campaign, the St. Jude magnifying glass, will be displayed throughout WSI catalogs, websites and retail locations. It is designed to remind customers of St. Jude's thorough look into any and all options to save a child today, and their relentless drive to find breakthroughs and discoveries for the future.
From Nov. 21 through Dec. 4 WSI will collect donations of $1 or more at the registers of its more than 560 U.S. retail locations and through its websites. WSI hopes to be a powerful force in this fundraising effort that supports the groundbreaking research and first class care and treatment happening at St. Jude.
"Williams-Sonoma Inc is a company centered around the home. The tireless efforts of St. Jude to create a family environment while conducting cutting-edge research motivates our partnership," said Howard Lester, Chairman, Williams-Sonoma, Inc. "It is amazing that eighty-four cents of every dollar St. Jude receives goes directly to research and treatment."
