A new card system has been launched for the purpose of dry laid manufacturing of nonwovens by NSC Nonwovens. The T.T Excelle card technology is believed to attain Machine Direction/Cross Direction strength ratios below 3/1 at manufacturing speeds over 250 m/min.
After several trials, the T.T Excelle card system has revealed better bonding index values at higher manufacturing speeds, along with an increase in cross direction strength up to 80 percent.
According to the NSC Nonwovens, this card system works smoothly on the fibres in comparison to other traditional card systems. The low draft during the designing process saves the web structure, reduces breaking of fibres which in turn guarantees higher efficiency and lesser requirement for maintenance.
The company has further added that the card technology is also appropriate for various uses in the hygiene industry which often puts into application ADL (acquisition distribution layers). The card technology also creates additional bulkiness against the traditional card systems.
The technology helps in generating lighter but at the same time more strong nonwoven fabrics which also uphold the present bulkiness standards.
