Asia is driving towards more sustainability in the textile sector and the market for testing in the continent is on the rise, said Marc Sidler, chief marketing officer of the Swiss Testex Group. Testex, a testing and certification firm focussed on textiles, is looking at opening offices in Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Africa and Eastern Europe, he said.

The company has seen an average business growth of 10 per cent over the past few years. Its goal for the near future is to increase the number of certifications for products that cover the whole supply chain, Sidler told Fibre2Fashion in an interview. (DS)
