ADEC Innovations named as ZDHC strategic partner

ADEC Innovations (ADEC), a pioneer in environmental, social and governance (ESG) solutions that create positive environmental impacts, has been named the preferred, strategic technology and data management partner of the ZDHC Foundation, a non-group of ZDHC Programme, a team of organisations working to eliminate hazardous chemicals from the supply chain.

One of the initial solutions jointly designed and fully developed and managed by ADEC is the ZDHC Chemical Gateway, a centralised product information database that helps chemical producers, brands and textile and footwear suppliers make better sourcing decisions. The first-of-its-kind resource is being built as part of the long-term strategic technology partnership between the ZDHC and ADEC.

Frank Michel, ZDHC executive director said, “As data and disclosure is an important foundation to the ZDHC mission towards zero discharge of hazardous chemicals in the textile and footwear value chain, providing our varied stakeholders with underlying technology and data management solutions ensures that we make it as streamlined as possible to determine conformance against the ZDHC Manufacturing Restricted Substances List. We are excited to be working in partnership with ADEC Innovations to develop and launch the Chemical Gateway, and we look forward to furthering our technology partnership with ADEC as we grow and evolve to meet the needs of our constituents.”

Robert A. Francisco, ADEC Innovations president said, “Our partnership with ZDHC is just one example of ADEC Innovations' commitment to developing specific solutions that address some of the world's most pressing issues. We are very pleased to be side-by-side with ZDHC at the forefront of helping chemical producers, manufacturers and suppliers of all types take steps toward safer and more sustainable operations.” (GK)
