Stacey Shulman to see American Apparel's IT operations

American Apparel Inc appointed Stacey Shulman as CTO, Chief Technology Officer. Ms. Shulman was previously the Company's Vice President of Technology and will have responsibility for American Apparel's global Information and Technology operations.

Prior to joining American Apparel, Ms. Shulman was the Vice President and CIO for Island Pacific/Retail Pro, a retail focused Technology Company. The solutions architected by Ms. Shulman and her previous teams are currently in use in over 100,000 retail locations in more than 75 countries. Ms. Shulman began her career in retail as a buyer and has worked with a large number of specialty and luxury branded retailers.
American Apparel is a vertically integrated manufacturer, distributor, and retailer of branded fashion basic apparel based in downtown Los Angeles, California. As of January 31, 2012, American Apparel had approximately 10,000 employees and operated 249 retail stores in 20 countries, including the United States, Canada, Mexico, Brazil, United Kingdom, Ireland, Austria, Belgium, France, Germany, Italy, Netherlands, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Israel, Australia, Japan, South Korea, and China.
