Kombi Sports deploys fashion-focused ERP
Mar '12
Visual 2000 International Inc. is pleased to announce that glove and winter sports gear marketer Kombi Sports Inc. has successfully deployed the Visual ERP.net enterprise software across its order management, purchasing, product sourcing, sales, financial, and other key business processes.

In addition to replacing its business system, the Montreal-based firm has expanded use of the new information technology to about 60 team members and independent sales representatives. Following a six month implementation and training period, the company reports significant improvements in order entry and fulfillment, financial controls and reporting, and overall operational efficiency.

According to Kombi Controller Norm Marier, “Based on the limitations of our old systems, we knew that we needed a modern, fashion-focused ERP that could integrate all aspects of our operation. Visual 2000 has given us that and more on a Microsoft platform that allowed both our end-users and IT team to adopt the new system quickly and effectively. Because it is built specifically for our industry, Visual ERP.net has all the capabilities we needed right out of the box. After a quick implementation, we have a fully integrated system that has enabled us to streamline much of our operation."

“We are particularly pleased with the tight integration with Microsoft Excel, which allows us to efficiently share orders and other information with our suppliers and distributors. The advanced level of business analytics and reporting gives management the tools we need to run the business faster and better; for example, we can now produce our financials in a single day.”

With Visual ERP.net, Kombi has also simplified online order and fulfillment processes and provided information access to outside sales reps. The company plans to add other Visual 2000 software modules in the near future, including the Visual PLM.net product lifecycle management solution for design and product development teams, the Visual SCM.net™ supply chain management solution to connect foreign offices and suppliers, and the web-based Visual SFA.net order entry and management module. These Visual 2000 software modules come fully integrated to provide visibility and control across all Kombi Sports processes.

In congratulating Kombi Sports, Visual 2000 VP of Research and Development Charles Benoualid said, “We applaud Kombi on their significant and rapid accomplishments. They stand as an example to many others that are being held back by legacy systems that cannot deliver on the demands of today's fashion industry. Kombi has not only moved past these limitations, they are achieving more with impressive speed-to-benefit.”

Kombi is a leading international brand for all winter outdoor enthusiasts. Started in 1911 as premier glove manufacturer Gold Glove Works, the Montreal-based company recently celebrated 100 years of continuous operations.

Visual 2000 InternationalInc develops and markets comprehensive software solutions for the Apparel, Footwear and Accessories (AFA) industry. The company's flagship Visual End-2-End™ Solution combines Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), Supply Chain Management (SCM), Warehouse Management System (WMS), business intelligence (BI), sales force automation (SFA), customer relationship management (CRM), and E-Commerce solutions in a single, integrated solution that enables retailers, brands, and manufacturers to gain visibility and control across the entire concept-to-consumer fashion lifecycle.
