Tri-D Technologies Inc announced that it will be providing live demonstrations of its widely anticipated ExactFlat Design Studio software at the Texprocess Americas tradeshow in Atlanta from April 24-26, 2012. ExactFlat Design Studio is a complete rethink of the CAD-to-cutter workflow for manufacturers working with industrial fabrics, making it faster, simpler, and more flexible than ever before.

"3D CAD-to-cutter software tools are set to shake the very foundations of how products are designed", says Steven McLendon, Executive Vice President of ExactFlat. "Leading manufacturers want to do more, in less time, with more flexibility. By integrating 3D design, 3D-to-2D flattening, nesting and costing on a leading 3D CAD platform (SolidWorks), we are uniquely meeting this need."

"Many manufacturers feel that the current ecosystem of 2D-centric fabric design tools is reaching the end of its life cycle", according to Mark Jewell, Founder and CTO of ExactFlat.

"Manufacturers that have already moved to 3D design - such as those in the automotive, marine, aerospace, furniture, apparel and architecture industries - have already begun to realize dramatic improvements in design, engineering and production speed while containing fixed costs. We fully expect ExactFlat Design Studio to become the new industry benchmark."

Tri-D Technologies is a Toronto and Atlanta-based software company. We develop and market software for the CAD/Industrial fabrics marketplace with a special emphasis on reducing time, effort and cost for CAD-to-cutter workflows. Our flagship product line - ExactFlat - has 7+ years of development, more than 6 million lines of computer code, 3 years of customer trials, and more than 2 dozen proprietary algorithms created specifically for the industrial fabrics customer segment.
