89 Degrees, a next-generation marketing solutions provider that uses advanced analytics to drive better results for data-intensive marketers, has been selected by Fila, a leading athletic apparel and footwear brand, to develop a comprehensive 2012 email marketing plan that will build and create customer relationships.

89 Degrees will move Fila to a new email service provider, develop a comprehensive 2012 email marketing plan, and provide ongoing strategic support.

"As we looked for a partner to help us use email to build our customer relationships, 89 Degrees emerged as a clear choice," said Kelly Funke, Senior Manager of eCommerce at Fila. "They have had great success in this area with other businesses, demonstrating both the technical expertise and strategic guidance to create email campaigns that engage customers."

89 Degrees will migrate Fila from their current platform to ExactTarget, a leading global provider of email marketing services, which will allow the brand to drive consumer engagement and analyze return on investment through ExactTarget's real-time interactive marketing applications.

The 2012 email marketing plan that 89 Degrees developed for Fila includes data acquisition, creative strategy for varying communications, testing plans and lifecycle programs. 89 Degrees will also provide ongoing strategic support, which will include monthly reporting, ad hoc analysis, and marketing plan execution.

"Working with Fila to leverage the value of its customer relationships is a great opportunity to leverage the power of an international brand," said Arthur Sweetser, Chief Marketing Officer of 89 Degrees. "Fila attracts loyalty with the quality of its merchandise, and we are going to build on that loyalty by reaching out to new and existing customers."

In 2011, Fila celebrated its centennial anniversary, a milestone for this historic brand established a century ago by the Fila brothers of Biella, Italy. Fila is now a leading manufacturer of sport and leisure footwear and apparel distributed worldwide
