FIT installs NScan scanner for pattern digitization

Students from the Production Management department at the Fashion Institute of Technology will have a great surprise for the Fall 2013 semester. The department that offers an Associate and a Bachelors degree has just placed an order for a new NScan Scanner.

The new scanner will be used with the NScan 2.13 software to demonstrate to students how a lot of apparel production houses digitize their patterns. The Production management major aims to introduce students to production techniques and business practices needed in implementing competitive manufacturing systems for today’s global marketplace.
